Shoveling Snow at the End of the Year
By David E McCarty MD, FAASM (but you can call me Dave)
It’s the end of the year, Life Fans, the time of year when we’re all called back, to whatever situation most feels like home, to spend time with those who most feel like tribe.
Seems that everywhere we look, there are barriers. On the biggest travel week of the year, the universe deals us a generational winter blast, insult to the injurious tridemic, all of which make it harder for us to come together. To feel the press of bodies, hug on hug. Kiss on face.
Today, I wanted to write an essay about walking between the raindrops, finding silver linings, and making lemonade, and…well…it just kept coming around to the same image.
So, I figured I’d go with that.
As usual, the left brain is really only here to lead me to the cartoon…so here it is…a little something I’m calling Shoveling Snow at the End of The Year.
Happy happy, Life Fans. Hug your own. Be the love. See you next year.
XO
Dave
